Sam Pacetti is a fingerstyle guitar player, songwriter and vocalist from St. Augustine, Florida, who melds head-spinning guitar technique with raw emotional depth. He began chasing the language of Chet Atkins and Merle Travis at thirteen, and was later taken under the wing of the legendary Florida picker and raconteur Gamble Rogers.
His debut, Solitary Travel, was cut largely live to tape in single takes and drew raves from Dirty Linen in the States and Folk Roots in the UK. Tradition and innovation balance neatly in his work, carried from listening rooms to festival stages across the country.
“Solitary Travel heralds the arrival of one of the most talented instrumentalists and composers to appear in acoustic music in a month of Sundays.”
“Although the woods are full of young guitar virtuosos, few have developed the style, technique and artistic wisdom of Sam Pacetti.”
“This guy is very good, indeed.”
“Pacetti's debut album is filled with nothing less than fingerstyle wizardry, accomplished for the most part live to tape and in one take. Trust me, this is no easy feat.”
